Fruit Snacks

These are super easy and fun, and a great way to use up excess juice without wasting it. Pineapple juice was my fruit juice of choice, but I’m going to use cranberry and apple next! I made these using a silicon mold from Amazon, which made the fruit snacks very easy to remove.

The only note I have for these is to make sure your mixture comes to a thorough boil so the agar activates. If you have to use flakes instead of powder, increase the agar to 3 tablespoons.

Ingredients:
• 1 cup juice
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 3 tsp agar powder

Directions:

1. Whisk together the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and heat thoroughly for 2-3 minutes. Mixture will get thick and syrupy.

2. Pour into silicon mold and refrigerate for an hour or more until firm.

Fabulous! I have silicone molds that I never use, and agar agar from when I used to make jam all the time.

Do you have an idea of how long these last? And have I assumed correctly that they need to be stored in the fridge? Thank you! We are trying these today.

They should last up to a week, but definitely refridgerated!
